If you’ve been following the drama between the Microsoft and Activision merger, well, you’ll just have to keep following for a couple of months. Phil Spencer announced on Twitter this morning that the deadline for completion has been extended until October 18th
Microsoft and Activision Blizzard have extended the merger agreement deadline to 10/18. We’re optimistic about getting this done, and excited about bringing more games to more players everywhere.

The merger was originally given a deadline of July 18th (yesterday), however, the CMA and FTC difficulties proved a bit harder to overcome than expected, so an extension was agreed upon.
Hopefully we’ll see this drama all closed out this fall! Meanwhile, game on!
